NATIVE DWELLINGS

Let’s get back to basics, Southwest style! Each team will be given a pole, canvas, 4 stakes, a cutting tool, stapler and staples, rope, a mallet and paint. Using a pattern, team members cut canvas and create a sheepherder’s tee pee, utilizing tools and teamwork to build an actual free standing structure. Use your creativity to tell a story of the painted figures or symbols each team must design on their finished project. Tee pees are judged on creativity, construction and presentation. A fun Arizona afternoon activity to promote camaraderie and competition!
